At L’Arche, we know that it takes skill and commitment to live in community.  For the last 35 years, the people in the L’Arche Greater Vancouver community have experienced each other’s joy, pain and the challenges of walking together every day.  We need to be together to build mutual relationships and maintain them.
 
There is an art in living together in L’Arche and this art can be a model to the wider community. We acknowledge that we need each other and that together we are stronger.  When we recognize each other’s gifts, we blend the usual differences between people such as age, ability, ethnicity, language and religious experience, to create a uniquely beautiful mosaic.
 
It is this theme of togetherness that we trust will inspire the greater community as they participate in “The Art of Being Together.”

How can I help?

Join us as we celebrate The Art of Being Together on Saturday, March 5, 2011.  The event will be held at the National Nikkei Museum & Heritage Centre at 6688 Southoaks Crescent in Burnaby. The entry fee is nominal and all ages are welcome.
 
Sponsor the event. There are several sponsorship opportunities for you to consider.
 
The Art of Being Together offers many opportunities for corporate promotion based on the value of the sponsorship:

• Association with a new, unique well-publicized community event.
• Association with a respected community agency.
• Exposure of your company’s image, product and/or services within the Vancouver and Burnaby market.
• Inclusion of your company’s logo on printed materials and event signage.
• Participation in a media relations campaign, including print media.
• Artist sponsors will also receive an original piece of art for display in their offices.

The success of the First Annual Art of Being Together will be greatly due to those who underwrite the costs of the event, allowing funds that are raised to go directly to L’Arche Greater Vancouver. Tax receipts will be issued upon receipt of invoice based on the fair market value of the donation. Recognition will be noted in the event program.
