Stuart’s Story

If you were to visit Evergreen, L’Arche’s Day Program, you would likely be approached by Stuart, who likes to meet people and chat. You’d discover what his friends in the program already know. They describe him as polite, social, gentle, and eager to participate in his activities.

You would learn that Stuart likes to keep active. He enjoys swimming, bowling, Zumba, and going for walks. He says it’s good to get exercise. He also likes hanging out with the gang in Evergreen, where he is happy to do art when the weather isn’t nice enough to go for walks.

Each week, he helps the team by setting up tables for the Friday lunch program. When it’s his turn to choose the meal for Friday lunch, it’s always pizza, and the guests he would like to be there with him are his mother and sister.
